London Association of Master Decorators was founded by Henry
Campbell in 1908. The Association united with the National Federation
of Master Decorators of England and Wales in 1917 and the headquarters
were located in the north of England.
|
 |
The LAMD has naturally consisted of decorating
firms resident in the London area (currently defined within the
boundaries of the M25). However, membership is available to firms
outside the area who may feel this to be of benefit, particularly
if some of all of their work is located within central London.
|
| |
 |
For nearly 100 years the LAMD has had a continuation
of service to the craft and trade of decorating. Trade conditions
have always varied throughout the country and the problems experienced
by firms in the north of England are not necessarily the same as
those experienced in London and its surrounding area. Membership
of the LAMD brings the opportunity to meet representatives from
other firms and exchange opinions, views and discuss common problem
areas. The LAMD attempt to address issues particular to the membership
of the area.

|
 |
As a member of the LAMD, you are entitled to display
the unique logo, which adds prestige to any company's business profile.
The LAMD is still united with the National Trade Body for the industry
and is so recognised as a Branch of the Trade Association.

 |
As a potential customer or client of an LAMD member,
you can be sure of a reputable firm backed by the industry trade
association. Cheapest is not always the best as in the long term,
as it pays to use a professional specialist.
